✨ NEW EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITY AT ANGMERING DAY NURSERY FROM THIS SEPTEMBER ✨We’re very excited to be adding something a little bit different to all of our amazing extra-curricular offering!POTTERY & CERAMICS sessions will be starting soon with our own dedicated pottery teacher! Our little artists will have the opportunity to get hands-on with clay, exploring, creating and experimenting with this wonderfully tactile material. We are in the process of setting up a pottery studio at the nursery and once it is ready the children will be able to see first-hand how pots are thrown on a wheel and maybe even have a go themselves, with the teachers guidance of course.🌟 So why is clay so amazing for young children?👐 Fine motor skills – squeezing, rolling, pinching and shaping clay helps strengthen little hands and fingers, supporting skills needed for writing, dressing and using tools.🧠 Creativity & imagination – clay has no right or wrong answer. Children can turn their ideas into something tangible and completely their own.🎯 Concentration & perseverance – creating with clay takes time, patience and problem-solving. ✨ What’s happening in our bell tent today? ✨Something a little bit magical… 🌿⛺Today we’re delighted to welcome Lisa from Sound Waves and Wellbeing for a special morning of sound bath and relaxation. 🧘♀️🎶The children will have the opportunity to unwind, listen to soothing sounds, explore mindfulness and simply enjoy a calm, peaceful experience in our beautiful bell tent. We can’t wait to see their curious faces and hear all about their favourite parts later today!We have a feeling there will be some very relaxed little people heading home this afternoon… 😌💚
☀️ Another glorious summer’s day at Angmering Day Nursery! 🌳💚While the temperatures are rising, our beautiful Mini Farm is providing the perfect shady retreat beneath its leafy canopy. It’s one of the children’s favourite places to explore, discover and learn, with so many wonderful opportunities for hands-on learning experiences , caring for animals, developing curiosity and connecting with nature.🐢 Tommy the tortoise has sensibly decided it’s a little too warm and is taking things easy in his cosy little house… but the rest of our furry and feathered friends are up, about and ready to greet the children for another fun-filled day!There’s something rather magical about spending a summer’s day learning outdoors, surrounded by nature. 🌿🐹🐔 #
✨ Meet the Team – Kirsty, Assistant Manager ✨Hi, I’m Kirsty, Assistant Manager at Angmering Day Nursery!My journey in Early Years Education began straight after leaving school, when I completed my Level 3 qualification in Childcare. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work in the sector I love, spending many years at my first nursery before moving to another local setting to broaden my experience and knowledge. Along the way, I also achieved my Level 4 qualification in Working with Children and Young People through Brighton University.In September 2025, I joined Angmering Day Nursery as Deputy Manager, and from my very first day, I knew I had found somewhere special. Learning about the nursery, its values, and its nurturing ethos made me feel instantly at home.Since joining the team, I have grown in confidence, expanded my knowledge, and progressed into my current role as Assistant Manager.I truly love supporting our children, families, and team every day. The most rewarding part of my role is watching the children grow, develop, and gain the skills and confidence they need for the next stage of their lives.I’m proud to be part of the Angmering Day Nursery family and look forward to continuing to support our wonderful children as they learn, play, and thrive. 💙
🎉 Day 6 – The final day of our 20th birthday week and time for the ‘grown-ups’ to celebrate 🎉What a wonderful way to round off our 20th birthday week! Today, our amazing nursery team enjoyed a well-deserved afternoon of relaxation and celebration at the beautiful South Lodge Hotel & Spa.Despite the wet and windy weather, we tucked into a delicious afternoon tea while taking in the stunning views. ☕🍰✨We may have come home with very full tummies, but more importantly, we left feeling incredibly grateful and proud to be part of such a fantastic team. Our nursery’s success over the past 20 years is built on the dedication, support, and teamwork of our wonderful staff, and today was the perfect opportunity to celebrate that.Here’s to 20 amazing years and many more to come! ❤️🥂
🎉🎈 Day 5 of our 20th Birthday Celebrations… and it's PARTY DAY! 🎈🎉The balloons are pumped, the party hats are ready, and we've got our dancing shoes on as we get set to dance the afternoon away! 🥳💃🕺What an incredible week it has been so far. A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children for making our birthday celebrations so special. 🎉✨ Day 4 of our 20th Birthday Celebrations! ✨🎉What a fantastic morning we had welcoming Ashleigh from Ace of Paints to the nursery! 🎨🖌️ Using her incredible creative talents, Ashleigh transformed our children into a wonderful mix of unicorns 🦄, Spidermen 🕷️, tigers 🐯, Batmen 🦇, and so much more!The nursery was bursting with colour, imagination, and lots of happy smiles by the end of the session. 😊A huge thank you to Ashleigh for all of her hard work and amazing face-painting skills.
